The only Azdharchid cloned in the park, Quetzalcoatlus was a magnificent animal that had to be cloned for attractive uses. It is absolutely massive, standing at the height of a giraffe with a wingspan wider than the length of a Tyrannosaurus while being light enough to fly. A problem was containing this massive beast along with the other aggressive Pterosaurs without them escaping. Luckily, the engineers came up with a way; specialized avoidance beacons that emitted a sound that made the Pterosaurs stay in the enclosure at a frequency that only they can hear. This animal normally eats carrion and the large fish stocked in the lakes and rivers, but it does also eat live animals if given the opportunity. One incident occurred where three people were attacked and eaten easily by this creature. It has tremendous strength greater than the other large Pterosaurs like Pteranodon, and can easily pick up a human or animal of that size. Prey it has been seen hunting include Dryosaurus, Othnielia, Pteranodon, Protoceratops, young duckbills, sauropod hatchlings and even Velociraptors. It is very aggressive and will attack most animals it considers intruders like humans. They are capable of crashing a helicopter or balloon so maximum security was a must for the enclosure. This animal is easily scared by large theropods and is sometimes preyed upon by them but will kill small carnivores. Only two were ever cloned; one still lives in the park while the other escaped and had to be shot down. It lives on Isla Nublar only due to it being able to fly to the mainland. This animal is able to fly surprisingly long distances without resting. They have a call that sounds like a deep warning call of a sand hill crane.
